personal - GemStone IV interview with SILVERONE

Interview with Silverone

Interview held on Feastday, day 2 of the month Lormesta in the year 5110.

QUESTIONS

1: What is your name (required) and training level (not essential)

My name is Silverone Starrgem and I am a 71st level Warlord.

2: How long have you wandered the lands?

It's been more than 13 years now since I came of age enough to wander Elanthia

3: What hunting style do you opt for?

Pretty much the style of any warrior: if it moves, kill it. I use my favourite weapon, a fel-hafted waraxe for the living, and Voln-Fu for the undead.

4: What percentage of your time do you spend hunting? How do you spend your other time?.

When I am awake I hunt 80% of the time. the rest is spent chatting at a table with friends.

5: What is and/or was your most enjoyable hunting area and why?

That depends on my level .. when I was just titled I went to live in River's Rest and hunted there very happily until I became too advanced a hunter for the undead there and was forced to leave my home there to wander the lands until I came to Castle Varunar where I spent many a happy hour releasing the undead. No hunting has been quite as much fun since then, I am sad to say. These days I hunt little, preferring to leave the time to my younger siblings.

6: What do you enjoy most about your time in the lands?

I love hunting with a friend. I also enjoy sitting around chatting after a hunt.

7: Is there anyone within the lands that you admire? (Any profession) Who and why?

Most that I admired have gone on to other lands, sadly. I do admire Nilandia for her hard work in bringing knowledge to the masses. I have always looked up to Krakii for his knowledge. Porcell was another one I looked up to.

8: What has been your best moment in the lands so far?

I found a real gem in River's Rest many years ago.

9: What has been your worst moment in the lands so far?

Being all alone when most of my friends moved on to other lands.

10: What advice would you give to a new warrior?

Who am I to give advice?.

11: If you had to do it all again, knowing what you now know, would you do anything differently?

Yes, I'd do more in the Warrior Guild. I'm ashamed of how few ranks I ever achieved in it. I was too undisciplined when I was young. I never stopped hunting to go to town and do guild work, and then I was too old and it was too late.

12: Is there anything you want to add to this interview?

I was rescued from an evil sorceress as a young child by Lord Alsadim, the man who eventually adopted me. I'll always be grateful to him although he long ago left these Lands. Whatever good there is in me comes by his help.
